Custom Dye-Sublimated Lanyards
Not all custom lanyards are printed the same way. For example, many lower-cost lanyards use screen printing, where ink is applied directly to the surface of the material. Since screen printers typically apply one color at a time, you may also be charged for each additional color in your design. As a result, designs with several colors can become more expensive.
In addition, screen printing sits on the surface of the material. Because of this, the printed design can wear, crack or fade over time, especially after repeated washing and regular use.
Our custom lanyards, however, are printed using dye sublimation. Instead of applying ink to the surface, heat and pressure transfer the dye directly into the polyester fibres. Therefore, the design becomes part of the material rather than simply sitting on top of it.
Another advantage is that dye sublimation prints in full color. This means you can use multiple colors, detailed logos, gradients and custom graphics without being limited to one color at a time. As a result, you have much more freedom when creating a colorful and detailed lanyard.
Dye sublimation also creates a durable print. Since the dye is transferred directly into the polyester, the design will not crack or peel like a surface-applied print can. Consequently, it is a great choice for lanyards that will be handled and worn regularly.
